Eleven talented students from DuBois Area High School recently represented their school as delegates at the 2024-2025 International Thespian Society Pennsylvania State ThesFest, held at West Chester University. This prestigious event, formerly known as the Pennsylvania State Thespian Conference, brought together theater enthusiasts from across the state for a celebration of creativity and performance.
The DAHS Thespians immersed themselves in a variety of workshops, attended performances by schools statewide, and showcased their own theatrical talent by presenting the one-act play Snow Day. The production was directed by Aubrey Ott, a dedicated DAHS Thespian.
Several students earned notable honors during the festival. Colin Lindmar was recognized as the "Most Valuable Performer," while Aubrey Ott was named "Most Valuable Thespian," underscoring their exceptional contributions to the performing arts. Cullen Appleton achieved the distinction of being named to the festival's "All-Star Cast," a testament to his outstanding performance.
In a historic achievement for DAHS, Addison Love was selected to serve on the Student State Thespian Board, a position that has not been held by a DuBois student in over a decade. As one of nine students from across Pennsylvania, Addison will play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and producing the ThesFest 2025-2026 event.
This year’s ThesFest was a remarkable opportunity for DAHS students to hone their craft, celebrate their achievements, and bring pride to their school and community.
